IM4 Virtual Production Storytelling Micro-Credential
"IM4 was really a life changing experience. The high caliber of instruction in Unreal Engine, the opportunities to show our work at Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF), as well directing professional actors in the studio environment gave me the confidence to really say, yes, I know how to do that. I have the tools I need to produce meaningful work and to bring creative ways of storytelling to Arctic Indigenous communities across the Territories."

"The curriculum exceeded my expectations.
I don't think I really knew what I was getting in to when I signed up. And it was just an array of incredible knowledge and fun. I enjoyed the diversity of the guest speakers. I love the in-person production and seeing the UE background come to life on the LED wall. I am so excited to make time to further train and learn about how this can enhance my way of life as a student and entrepreneur."

"I’ve been working towards learning animation in my spare time in the last 5 years because
I didn’t have the financial support or opportunities to learn it. This training got me to exactly where I’ve wanted to be and opened up doors that I never knew existed. It has also had implications for my research and provided me with tools to support my community in their language revitalization efforts. I think I’m about to blow their minds with what I can create."

"Shenaz Baksh has built our
workshop offerings into the envy of the non-profit media arts sector. Due to her diligent work, we now offer 150 workshops over three seasons a year. Our workshops are consistently over 80% full, meaning that almost 1,000 people a year are learning new tools to advance their filmmaking skills. Shenaz has designed our workshops to cover a wide range of phases of production. We support dramatic, documentary and experimental filmmaking, and offer workshops in each genre. A participant can enrol in a suite of courses that take them step by step from script to screen."
